Homeward Bound

Day 15 – 10/21/2022

Today we are finally headed home.

Driving Through Texas:

I have to be honest, besides Kansas, Texas must be one of the ugliest states to drive through. It’s big, flat and boring. Also make sure you keep plenty of gas in your car as you never know if it might be 200 miles before you see a gas station.

Here are some pictures to show the sheer beauty of driving through Texas.

Into New Mexico:

As you can see, New Mexico isn’t much prettier than Texas but they do at least have sage brush and even have a small volcano named Capulin.

Into Colorado:

Then when you get to Colorado you get to actually see the beautiful Rocky Mountains. This can be seen from Raton Pass which is part of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains.
