For a long time I have wanted to build something cool with a Raspberry Pi but never could figure out a project that really interested me. Recently I was looking at guitar pickup winders and realized that it would be really fun to build my own custom pickup winder myself that I could enhance as much as I want. So I have started down the path to building my own pickup winder utilizing the Raspberry Pi.
To start off I bought all of the following to determine what I needed and how to make it work as I had never really built anything with the Pi prior to now.
- Raspberry Pi 4 4GB
- Pulse Train HAT
- Nema 17 Stepper Motor
- Stepper Motor driver
- Meanwell 24V power supply
